Reindeer Lodge – Cabin rental
A scenic cabin accommodation in Sámi design nestled in the taiga forest at the banks of river Torne in the great outdoors of Swedish Lapland. Savour the moment of silence, cosy up to the fireplace and unwind from everyday life.
Reindeer Lodge comprises five wooden double bed cottages remotely situated in the woods where silence rules supreme.
Each cabin is one large room á 20 m² and four out of five cabins are also furnished with a sofa bed (size 1.60 x 1.80 m) so two more people fit in there. The cottages are equipped with wood-fired stoves and electrical heaters, tables and chairs.
The common timber log building serves as a joint self-catering facility with fully-equipped kitchen, stove and seating.
The joint wood-burning sauna with single-sex shower and dressing compartments as well as WC are found in separate communal facilities.
Reindeer Lodge offers an excellent starting point for different activities depending on the season. Take a walk to Jukkasjärvi village to visit the church, the reindeer and the Icehotel premises. During autumn and winter Reindeer Lodge is a perfect spot to gaze into the night sky for great northern light displays.
During summer and autumn Reindeer Lodge is used for accommodation only, thus some of the reindeer we used to keep here during winter are to be found at “Sámi Siida-Márkanbáiki” in Jukkasjärvi village only during June to October.
Reindeer Lodge is the perfect spot for travellers by car who look for an accommodation off-the-beaten track, yet still easily accessible. Reindeer Lodge is situated only 15 km from Kiruna Airport and 3 km outside Jukkasjärvi village.
