Q. Where can I store my luggage in Kiruna?
You can store your luggage with us at the Tourist Office during our opening hours. The price is 20 SEK/bag/day.
Q. Where can I use wifi/computer?
There is free wifi at almost all hotels. You can also use free wifi at Folkets Hus, the building in which the Tourist Office is located. You can borrow our computer at the Tourist Office or visit the library to use a computer.
Q. How can I get to/from Kiruna Airport?
There is an airport bus going between Kiruna Airport and Kiruna city centre. Click here for more information. You can also order a taxi: +46 (0)980-120 20.
Q. How can I get to/from the train station?
There is a new train station in Kiruna since August 31 2013. There is a transfer bus free of charge going between the bus station in central Kiruna and the new train station. Find more information here
Q. What kind of accommodation do you have in Kiruna?
You can choose to stay in a hotel in the town center, in a cabin surrounded by nature or maybe sharing a room in a hostel together with fellow travellers. There are a lot of options, which you can read more about here. We do recommend that you book your accommodation before arrival. Q. When can I see the midnight sun in Kiruna?
You can experience the midnight sun from May 30 to July 14. From the mountain Luossavaara you get a great view and you can also walk the midnight sun trail around here.You can also visit the Aurora Sky Station on the mountain Nuolja in Abisko. Q. What tours can I do in Kiruna?
In Kiruna there are plenty of tours you can do! During winter maybe try dogsledding, snowmobiles, skiing, Northern Lights hunting, Ice fishing and lots more. For summer you can try canoeing, white water rafting, hiking, horse back riding etc. Click here to check some tours.
Q. How can I visit the underground mine?
You can go on a guided tour to LKAB’s Visitor Centre which depart from the Tourist Office. Minimum age is 6 years due to the safety regulations. Please note that it is not possible to visit the mine on your own – only by a guided tour. The tour can only be booked online or in person at the Tourist Office. Read more and book your tour here.

Q. How can I rent a car in Kiruna?
Renting a car can be a good idea if you want to move freely and visit a lot of places without having to keep track of the public transportation, which sometimes can be quite limited up here. Check here for contact information to the rental car companies in Kiruna.
Q. How can I visit Esrange?
Unfortunately it is no longer possible to do a guided tour of Esrange Space Center. However there is an unmanned visitor center outside the space base with an interactive exhibition that features activities at Esrange and Swedish aerospace work. It is open on request, by calling +46 (0)980-720 00.
