Kiruna Vandrarhem, a youth Hostel in the centre of Kiruna. From November 2009 it is no longer an STF member, but it is now part of SVIF. This means that the prices are the same for members or non-members. Kiruna Vandrarhem is one of the biggest youth hostels in Swedish Lapland, with high standard, free Internet and the possibility to purchase breakfast.

With the central location Kiruna Vandrarhem has the famous Church as a close neighbour. In a distance of 3 minutes you find shopping malls, restaurants and culture. Five minutes from the youth hostel you have the real nature!

    Hej, I'm arriving the Wednesday 21th by plain from Stockholm. Thereafter we have plans to go to Abisko and return over the Kungsleden to Kiruna on the 29th. I have an excess on luggage which I do not need on the Kungsleden but afterwards on another trek (Sårek). Can I leave some luggage (guarded) in the Tourist-center or elsewhere?     I was staying in this hostel from Aug 26 to 28 and honestly: NEVER AGAIN! The house is run-down, both the kitchen and the rooms were dirty, at night drunken men were shouting and slamming doors (oh yes, alcohol is forbdden IN the hostel so they were just drinking outside), the staff was extremely unfriendly. It changed from STF to SVIF, and ridiculously, the STF posters still hang in the rooms, partly with overpainted logos! Does the SVIF have not even posters of their own??? (By the way, the STF blankets are still on the beds ...) In all, this hostel is a disgusting place, never ever again I will go there.
