Lainio Wilderness - Camp Silence
Lainio Wilderness, ”Sweden's most fishing camp" is within 5-10 km radius of access to one of Sweden's best fishing waters with a wide range of species and large fish in both lakes streams and rivers. We here at Lainio wilderness has traveled over 25 years along the river's water system with rafts and in canoes, so we can most certanly say that Lainio Wilderness knows the river. It is particularly the fantastic grayling and trout fishing as Lainio River has been known for. But we have also been able to dream ourselves back to the stories from people along the river, during the war years when the sea was undermined, how incredible much salmon it was in the river those days, they told us about catches of salmon up to weights about 30kg.
-VIP log cabin "Moose" large fully equipped cottage in two planes with six beds, separate bedroom, sauna, fireplace, etc.
-Fully equipped log cabin "Eagle" with sauna, openfireplace, loft, etc.
-6 Log cabins 25-30 square meter, with four beds, one room with two bunk beds in solid timber, kitchenette with two hotplates and refrigerator, dining table, toilet, shower, TV, internet.
-2 huts in drypinewoods with four beds, electric/hob access to shower and toilet in the service building.
-Sauna, BBQ and smokehouse.
-10 campsites with shared facility.

Wilderness River Laino is particularly known for the fantastic salmon fishing, as the Baltic salmon migrate up the Lainio river´s cold clear water to spawn. Downstream Lainio the river changes character and produces a canyon where the river over several kilometers is lined with vertical rock walls. In some places you can go ashore by boat and enjoy an exciting fishing for grayling and trout. You will also find the absolute best salmon pools (both fly and spin fishing), but the salmon fishing can vary and you should inform yourselves in advance. In addition of course, attracts the exciting fishing in several brooks, among others
"saankijoki" and a large number of forest and mountain lakes with diverse fish stocks.
Lainio river is lyrically described by sportfishing writers for its variety of fishing. Laino river, also called "Primevalriver" with the original river channel after the first ice. It runs from the wellsprings from the top to the north by the sandy ridge country,
past the taiga coniferous forests, to post over 600 km before it flows together with the Torne River. Here can the true sport fisherman find his dream water. The diversity of fish and its rich changing of nature's attracts most!
