White-water rafting on the Kalix River
A tour for the entire family, including opportunities for swimming, surrounded by beautiful scenery along one of Sweden’s last unregulated wild rivers. With modern equipment and boats adjusted to the size of the group (maximum of 8 people/guide), every day is a wonderful experience on the serenity of the water.
At the river’s shore, everyone is equipped with a wetsuit, helmet and life jacket and given thorough instructions on safety routines. The boats are paddled and everyone participates in the voyage
downstream. After passing the rapids at Mukkakosi, we go ashore for sandwiches, beverages and coffee. At a deeper part of the river everyone will have the opportunity to test the support of the
life jackets. The tour concludes with lifting the boat onto a trailer, and travelling by bus back to Camp Ripan.
Price: 795 SEK Children: 400 SEK (5-12 years)
The price includes: Guide, transfer, safety instructions, wetsuit, wet shoes, helmet, life jacket and coffee break
Number of participants: Minimum 4 people
Departures: Thursdays and Saturdays 10.00. The tour starts from Camp Ripan and takes about 3,5 hours. June 27th – August 21th.
The rafting tours are made by guide B-O, with experience of rafting since 1983, licensed by Sjöfartverket and Rescue 3 International.
