Riding camp in the mountains 2011
Combining riding lessons with tours in the lovely Swedish mountains, is a perfect way to improve Your riding skills and at the same time get a chance to recreation in beautiful surroundings. You stay overnight in a cabin in Nikkaluokta and eat marvellous food at the restaurant. You will get lessons in a paddock and we ride day rides in the valley with nice trails and up on the mountains with a great view of the mountains of Kebnekaise. We ride both on paths and trails so we have chance to vary the speed and the gaits.
The first day we start with a lesson after lunch and after that we ride around the village on a short tour. The dinner you eat in the nice restaurant. The next day we ride a whole day ride and we bring lunch with us which we prepare over open fire. You have chance to have a sauna in the evenings and we finish the last evening with a three-course dinner in the restaurant. The last day we have a lesson, outdoor lunch and a afternoon riding tour. This riding camp is intended for adults at every level of riding (ability).
The Icelandic horse is strong but rather small and we therefore don’t allow riders weighting over 90 kg.
Minimum 2 persons/tour.
Included: 3 days of riding lessons and tours, full board and lodging (from dinner day 1-lunch day 3, sheets and towels), a fully equipped horse, a guide/instructor (speaking Swedish/English) and helmet.
Not included: transfer from Kiruna (SEK 400 extra/pers).
