As soon as the sun starts to shine, and warm us up, after a long and cold winter, all of us in Kiruna are changing in to an active group of people. No time is wasted sitting inside.
We go out in to nature, some by snowmobile to go ice fishing on a lake and some are just sitting by an open fire, enjoying the sun.
Many people are going up in to the mountains to ski, either downhill or cross country. Right now it is high season at the mountain stations, Riksgränsen, Katterjåkk, Björkliden, Abisko, Nikkaluokta and Kebnekaise. The atmosphere is the same wherever you are.

We spend the days together with family and friends out in the nature, making fires, barbecuing and working on our tans, the same as on a beach in summer.
