The midnight sun!

Soon you will be able to see the magnificent midnight sun in Kiruna. From May 30 until July 14 the sun never sets under the horizon. That means the nights here are bright in the summer.

You can go on excursions with a guide or by yourself to experience the midnight sun.

Kiruna Lapland Tourist Office arranges guided tours all year round to the LKAB Visitor Centre. A popular tour that takes you down into the world’s largest underground iron ore mine. This tour is unique, as it gives you the chance to visit a productive mine. The mining is still one of Kiruna’s most important industries.

Now the mountains offer sunny days full of activities and adventures. Try snowshoeing, downhill skiing with skis or snowboard, ski touring, snowmobiling, dog sledding or even ice fishing on lake Torneträsk.
