Sámi adventure day tour

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience the taste of my Sámi culture’s traditional food? Feel the crunch of the snowy landscapes under your feet under the mesmerizing beauty of the northern lights and nature in the presence of reindeers?

My name is Niklas Blind, and I have a rich cultural heritage with close connection with nature and my reindeer herding. I would like to invite you to my Sámi way of life. I welcome you to my home, to meet my reindeers. I will teach you all you want to know about my reindeer and you will also have the chance to feed them. And if it is a snow storm, I will teach you more about arctic weather and how we protect ourselves.

We start the trip in the village of Jukkasjärvi with a 25 minute snowmobile ride out to the Sámi camp, far away from the city and the noise. There you will meet our reindeer, and can take a classic reindeer sleigh ride. You will have a taste of Sámi inspired food and cold or hot drinks.
